1. High reliability
Generally, the failure rate of relay is set at 50ppm, so to meet this requirement, the quality level of reed switch is much higher than the requirement of 50ppm. Up to now, no electromechanical device has reached such a quality level.
2. High security
Reed switch switch has excellent insulation performance. The highest insulation resistance of this switch can reach 1015Ω, that is, its leakage current can reach the level of 10-15A. Such ultra-low leakage level is widely used in medical electronic devices, such as probes inserted into human body or cardiac pacemakers, because these devices require that there should be no leakage current close to the heart, even micro-ampere or sub-micro-ampere current can change the electrical properties of key parts of the heart.
3. High adaptability
The reed sensor is sealed. Because the switch assembly of the reed switch is hermetically sealed in an inert gas, it will not contact with the external environment, so it can work in almost any environment without being sensitive to humidity and interference from external air. At the same time, reed switch has no special requirements for ambient temperature, and has a wide temperature adaptability: the typical working temperature range can be from -50℃ to +150℃, without special additional conditions, restrictions or expenses.
4. Long service life
Because the reed switch is a wear-free component and does not use sliding components, there will be no metal fatigue phenomenon, ensuring virtually unlimited mechanical service life. At the same time, because the contact made of inert noble metal rhodium has a high melting point, it can reduce the loss of arc on the contact surface, so it is more wear-resistant and can maintain a longer working life. General reed switch can work for millions of times under low-level load (less than 5V and lower at 10mA) (the service life of OKI series reed switch is generally guaranteed to be more than 100 million times). This is equivalent to the number of semiconductor microfabricated devices.

Reed switch can be installed in a limited space and is very suitable for miniaturized equipment. At present, the minimum size of reed switch has reached ф Ф2.0×11.0mm

Dry spring switch has a series of excellent electrical properties, for example, its contacts have extremely low on-resistance when conducting, and the typical value is as low as 50mΩ;; Its direct switching signal range can be from several nanovolts to thousands of volts, current from flying ampere to ampere, frequency from DC to 6GHz, etc.
7. High speed operation
Because each movable component only has a very small weight, the operation speed is very high, which makes the reed switch a component that can be used in transistor circuits or integrated circuits.
